The bit with all four Pevensies might be something that was just filmed for the preview; they’ve had a few of those before.

The sea of lilies is almost how I imagined it.  The whole thing was gorgeous.

I was hoping to hear Caspian’s voice too!  He was hardly in the preview at all.  Hopefully we’ll see more of him in the next trailer.

A bit of action would be great, as long as they don’t overdo it.

I do want to know what’s up with the glowing sword…

I watched it this morning!  What did you think?

I thought the whole Edmund wanting to be king thing feels repetitive now that they did it with Peter in the last movie.  I wish they had not done it up so much with Pete or found a fresher take on it this time.  The line about ‘the fate of Narnia resting on you’ annoyed me a bit.  I understand why they did it, but I wish the world didn’t have to be in epic danger again.  (What is it about fantasy and the entire world being in epic danger every other minute anyway?)  Overall, I was thrilled.  Lucy looks so much older!  I absolutely love the Dawn Treader; it is the most ridiculously beautiful ship.  Can’t wait for the movie!  :)

Never mind.  Right after I posted this, I noticed the ‘Add poll’ option at the top.  Problem solved!

I haven’t read Father Brown, Ellery Queen, or the Hardy Boys, so I’m not much of a judge, but I love Sherlock Holmes!

Okay, I’m back.  Found more books I wouldn’t mind parting with.

Eragon and Eldest, by Christopher Paolini- Both are HC in good to excellent condition
The Dragon of Lonely Island, by Rebecca Rupp- PB, good condition
No Promises in the Wind, by Irene Hunt- MMB, fair condition, Depression-era HF
The Second Thief, by Travis Thrasher- PB, good condition, sorta speculative/almost sci-fi
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, by Steve Perry- MMB, fair condition
Princess Academy, by Shannon Hale- PB, good condition
Hound Heaven, by Linda Oatman High- PB, excellent condition
The Flame and the Fury, by Esther Vogt- PB, good condition, Civil War-era HF
The River Between Us, by Richard Peck- PB, good condition, Civil War-era HF
Jip, His Story, by Katherine Paterson- PB, good condition, HF (I think)
Come Sing, Jimmy Jo, by Katherine Paterson- PB, good condition
Julie, by Jean Craighead George- PB, good condition
Series of Unfortunate Events books 1, 4, 6, 9- First is HC, rest are PB
Outcast of Redwall, by Brian Jacques- ARC (Advanced Reader Copy- a pre-release version for publishers, reviewers, etc.  Not allowed to be resold, but I think traded is OK.)  Same size as HC, but in PB

I’ve also got a few HF books for a slightly younger audience- more like ages 8-12.

C Triebold, I would definitely be interested in Eternity’s Edge and Nightmare’s Edge and maybe The Hand that Bears the Sword and The Battle for Vast Dominion.  (Where do you get two copies of all these books?!)  Unfortunately, I don’t think I have anything you want.  Maybe I’ll go hunt through my shelves again…  Anything in particular you’re looking for?

Melody, I don’t really think I want any of your books.  I’ve got some already.  Never heard of the Dale Evans Rogers ones.  What are they?  I might like to try the Dragon King Trilogy- that’s Lawhead, right?  I tried his Arthur books and thought they were a bit slow/boring/windy.  I don’t know if this one would be more interesting.

Janin, do go ransack your library!  It’s probably easier to list what we don’t want than what we do- the books we want lists might get too long.  :)

Just found the description for the next Redwall book!  Sounds like pretty typical Redwall to me.  I like the title though.  Wish he would do another Castaways book soon.

    The Rogue Crew
From Salamandastron’s Western Shores, to the High North Coast,

here they come. Captain Rake Nightfur, and his Long Patrol Hares, with

Skor Axehound and the Rogue Crew Sea Otters. Marching boldly into a

thrilling saga, singing, feasting, swashbuckling, and battling.

Questing for the infamous ship Greenshroud, crewed by Searats and

Corsairs, captained by the murderous Razzid Wearat, terror of both sea

and land. His aim, the conquest of an Abbey! Was there ever such a

blood and thunder chase? The fate of Abbot Thibb and his Redwallers

hangs in the balance. Who will be first to the gates, who can save the

legendary Abbey from the clutches of a Wearat? On, on, to victory or

    death!

Well, I went and checked out my shelves.  I found a couple books I might want to trade and I might find more if I looked around a bit.  I didn’t realize how many books we have duplicates of!

My Brother Sam is Dead, by James and Christopher Collier-  Paperback in good condition.

Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens- Mass market edition, pretty worn.

A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle- Pretty worn paperback.

This Present Darkness, by Frank Peretti- Paperback, good condition.

The Sword Bearer, by John White- Paperback in good condition.  I’m not completely sure about this one.  I started it and got bored, but I’m going to get my sis to read it and see what she thinks.

I’m not sure that some of these will fit your criteria for an acceptable read, Melody, but I thought I’d list them anyway.  Anyone else have any books up for trade?

They do circle, but I don’t think you could really start with White though.  I think you would have to begin with Black or Green.

I wish I could help you out finding books.  I have a decent sized collection of Christian fantasy stuff, but I don’t think there’s any I want to part with.  And if there is, it’s probably because I didn’t like it much.

I’m not sure if this has been asked before, but can magazines count?
