I need to pop in here real quick and ask a favor of everybody.

We’re double checking everybody’s page counts to make sure nobody makes any adding errors. It makes our lives a whole lot easier if you stick to the post sample from the rules. That means you post only finished books (not books in progress), and you post a running total at the bottom of your post.

I’m going to say no, magazines don’t count. Even though the word count isn’t as much of an issue, I think it will be simpler just to say that only books count.

And if somebody has a good word for books that excludes comic books, graphics novels, etc., shout it out so I can update the rules.

Yep, non-fiction books are books too.

Anybody staying up until midnight is gonna be awfully disappointed, ’cause the thread won’t open until about six hours after that…

No restrictions beyond any you might have from parental units. And you can read books you’ve already read, most certainly.
