MemberI need to pop in here real quick and ask a favor of everybody.
We’re double checking everybody’s page counts to make sure nobody makes any adding errors. It makes our lives a whole lot easier if you stick to the post sample from the rules. That means you post only finished books (not books in progress), and you post a running total at the bottom of your post. Thanks!Jordan
MemberFirst Read-a-Thon post! (Pretty bad, since I’m an organizer of this thing…)
Save the Cat! Strikes Back, by Blake Snyder. 176 pages.Running total: 176 pages. (Whoo-hoo!)Jordan
MemberYes, the last day of August.

MemberI’m going to say no, magazines don’t count. Even though the word count isn’t as much of an issue, I think it will be simpler just to say that only books count.
And if somebody has a good word for books that excludes comic books, graphics novels, etc., shout it out so I can update the rules.Jordan
MemberWhoops! Equinegirl, you’re in the Read-a-Thon Questions thread. The Read-a-Thon thread is here: https://incredibooks.com/ibdiscuss/topic/read-a-thon-2010/
Jordan
MemberSorry, but comic books don’t count.
Jordan
MemberLucyLou, you need to post what books you read. See the Read-a-Thon rules here: https://incredibooks.com/read-a-thon/rules/
Jordan
MemberThat is correct.

MemberAs noted on the sign up page, we’re having some trouble with the form. The email has definitely gone through and you should be getting a confirmation very soon, Seth.

MemberNarnia365, subtracting pages completed before the Read-a-Thon is fine.
*Ducks out of the thread ’cause he hasn’t finished a book yet*Jordan
MemberAnd Read-a-Thon 2010 has begun!
Have at it!Jordan
MemberYep, non-fiction books are books too.
Anybody staying up until midnight is gonna be awfully disappointed, ’cause the thread won’t open until about six hours after that…
Jordan
MemberNarnia365, that should work fine. (Congrats on the Kindle!)

MemberC’mon, Pip, they’re funny! I can hardly keep from laughing whenever I see them at the top of this thread.
Jordan
MemberNo restrictions beyond any you might have from parental units.
And you can read books you’ve already read, most certainly.LoL @ Pip’s fan joke.
